Design your cornhole boards

A regulation pair, 24 by 48 inches, built here from the tops down — carved solid hardwood or birch ply, hardwood frame, folding legs. Carve a name, a team or a crest on each board; the two can match or differ. Answer the questions on the left and it is drawn to size on the right, with anything we would want to tell you about it beside the thing it concerns.

Step 1 Where will this cornhole boards live?

We ask this first because it decides which woods will last. It is easier to hear now than after you have designed the cornhole boards.

You are buying a pair. Most people carve both the same — if you want them different, switch here and design each one.

A 6" hole, cut right through. Regulation size and position — a board with a different hole is not a cornhole board, so there is nothing to choose here.

Step 5 Lettering above the hole

Pick a wood in step 2 first — what can be carved depends on it.

Unfilled means the carving is left bare — the shadow in the groove gives the contrast. It costs less, and it never has a colour that fights the wood.
